SPIRAL GALAXY M106 (NGC 4258)

Several other galaxies are visible in this image, including NGC 4248 just below, and NGC 4217 in the lower left.

Image acquisition and processing details:

Telescope: Takahashi Epsilon 180, f/2.8.
Mount: AstroPhysics AP1200.
Camera: SBIG ST-10XME cooled to -25C and -30C, internal guiding.  All images binned 1x1.
Filters, Exposure Times: AstroDon Red, Green, and Blue, 4 hours each (48x300s each), 3nm Hydrogen-alpha 6 hours (24x900s).  Additional data was obtained but discarded.
Dates: 2/13-2/14/09 and 3/15-3/18/09.
Moon Phase: Various
Location: Xanadu Observatory, Backyard in Tucson, AZ
