GLOBULAR CLUSTER NGC 5139, THE OMEGA CENTAURI CLUSTER

Image acquisition and processing details:

Telescope: William Optics Zenithstar 105mm APO refractor, f/5.6 with 0.8 FR/FF.
Mount: Celestron CGE, remotely controlled with NexRemote.
Camera: SBIG ST-10XME cooled to -25C, internal guiding.  All images binned 1x1.
Filters, Exposure Times: AstroDon Lum 5 min (5x1 min), Red/Green/Blue 5 min each filter (5x1 min each).
Dates (Universal Coordinated Time): 14-May-2007
Moon Phase: 18%
Location: Prude Ranch near Davis, TX at the Texas Star Party (Upper Field)
Software: MaximDL, TheSky, CCDInspector, CCDStack, Adobe Photoshop
Notes: Omega Centauri is a stunning huge globular cluster.  It lies very low in the South from the TSP site.  In binoculars it really is an outstanding object.
