PICKERING'S TRIANGULAR WISP (NGC 6979)

This is a narrowband image taken in October, 2008 over several nights, using the Hubble pallet (SII=Red, Ha=Green, OIII=Blue)

Telescope: Takahashi Epsilon 180, f/2.8
Mount: Astro-Physics AP1200
Camera: SBIG ST-10XME cooled to -25C or -30C, internal guiding.
Filters, Exposure Times: AstroDon Ha 48x10min, OIII 41x10min, SII 43x10min.  Additional data was obtained but discarded.
Dates: 10/14/08 to 10/25/08.
Moon Phase: various approaching new.

Notes: Also called Pickering's Wedge, this object is part of the Veil Nebula, a supernova remnant.
