Be stars are a unique class of B stars that exhibit emission lines at Hydrogen-alpha, rather than the typical absorption lines.  The emission lines are caused by a circumstellar disk of gas in orbit around the star.  The emission line is broadened by Doppler shift, with an absorption feature at the center.
